Mr. S. Chandramohan, Director

Mr. S. Chandramohan is a Chemical Engineer from Annamalai University, with a Post Graduate Qualification in Business Management from Madras University. He has been associated with various Management positions in Manufacturing Companies spanning Fertilizers, Chemicals, etc spanning 4 decades across multifarious functions at different locations, both in India & Abroad.

The Centre for Suggestion System Development, U.S.A., honoured him with the �SUGGESTION SALUTE AWARD FOR 2006� for his outstanding achievement in the Suggestion System Industry in 2006. The Institute of Economic studies, New Delhi conferred the �UDYOG RATTAN AWARD�, for his outstanding performance in the field of Industrial Development of the country in Dec 2007. The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers bestowed the DOST Professor J.K. Sharma Medal and CHEMCON distinguished Speaker Award at its annual All India Chemical Engineering Conference in 2010.

Dr. E. Nakkeeran, Director

Dr. E. Nakkeeran received his Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology from the University of Mysore, M.Tech Biotechnology from VIT University and B.Tech Chemical Engineering from Bharathiar University. He worked at the National Laboratory, CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru, India with a Senior Research Fellowship award from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

His research field is Bioprocess and Downstream Processing with a research emphasis on production and purification of fungal enzymes and natural colours. He has 32 publications in reputed international/national journals of high impact factor as a Senior / First author and 20 book chapters published by Springer/Elsevier, etc. He has presented 71 research papers at various International and National Conferences held in India. He is an Editorial Board Member and Reviewer for reputed journals.

He organized several workshops, Faculty Development Programmes, short-term training courses with sponsorship from national funding agencies like DBT, DST, New Delhi, India. He worked as Assistant Professor (senior) at VIT University, India from 2010 to 2012 and worked as Associate Professor in Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering from June 2012 to January 2016. Presently, Prof. Nakkeeran is working as Professor & Head of Biotechnology and Institutional NBA Coordinator at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (Autonomous) affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, India. He Chairs the Stakeholder Relationship Committee of SPEL�s Board. He is a Member of the Audit Committee and Nomination & Remuneration Committee.

Mr. Venkatesh Ramanujam, Director

Mr. Venkatesh Ramanujam is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with over 40 years of experience and has wide range of experience and exposure in the field of Finance & Accounts. He held several senior positions, like CFO, Vice-President International Finance etc, in L&T Group of Companies having operations in Construction, Automobile & Manufacturing industries.

He handled Buyback of Shares, Indirect Taxes planning, implementing GST and involved in various strategic business initiatives. Mr. Venkatesh spearheaded, streamlined and created an independent structure for smooth operations in credit / operations / receivables in Saud Bahwan Group � Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. He Chairs the Audit Committee of SPEL�s Board.

Dr. V.V. Meenakshi Jayakumar, Director

Dr. V.V. Meenakshi Jayakumar is the Principal of Tamil Isai Kalloori, an institution run by the Tamil Isai Sangam. After working in a school as a Hindi Teacher. Dr. Jayakumar graduated in Commerce and worked in a Chartered Accountant's office from 1996 to 2003. Subsequently, she completed a postgraduate degree in Commerce, Women's Studies, Guidance and Counselling, and Bharatanatyam.

She worked as a radio jockey in AIR (All India Radio). She is a dramatist, having written and directed her own plays and is a poet and writer. Dr.Jayakumar's core competency is Carnatic music. She graduated as a Sangeetha Vidwan and music Teacher from the Government Music College, Chennai. Later, she completed a postgraduate degree in Music, an M.Phil, and a Ph.D. in Music from the University of Madras. She has also cleared the SET and NET exams in Music, making her an accomplished musicologist and educationist. She has been very active on YouTube, promoting her institution. Dr. Jayakumar serves as a Syndicate member in the Tamil Nadu Dr. J.J.Jayalalithaa Music and Fine Arts University, Chennai. She is a guide and examiner for the Ph.D.

Dr. Jayakumar has also authored 4 books. She was recognized for her contributions with the Bharathi Sevai Semmal and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam - Best Teachers Award. She is Member of the Nomnation & Remuneration and Stakeholders Relationship Committee of SPEL's Board.

Dr. Nagarajan Govindan, Director

Dr. Nagarajan Govindan is a Mechanical Engineer with over 35 years of experience in teaching, research, and administrative leadership. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master's Degree in Internal Combustion Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. His career spans both industry and academia, with significant contributions to engineering education, university administration, and public sector governance.

He began his career in the industry as an Engineer in the Research & Development division at Carburettors Limited, Chennai. He subsequently served as a Teaching Research Fellow at the College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), Anna University, and went on to become a long-standing faculty member at CEG from February 1992 to May 2023. Dr. Nagarajan Govindan has held several key administrative positions at Anna University, including Director � Centre for International Relations, Director � Centre for Admissions, Director � Syndicate Affairs, and Co-ordinator � Legal Affairs. He also served as the Head of the Department of Mining Engineering and was the Executive Warden of the International Hostels. He has played a significant role in Tamil Nadu�s higher education entrance examination system, having served as Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) and the Tamil Nadu Aptitude Test in Architecture (TANATA), as well as Director and Deputy Director of the Centre for Entrance Examinations at various intervals. Dr. Nagarajan Govindan has extended his expertise to the public sector as well. He currently serves as Independent Director at Tamil Nadu Magnesite Limited (TANMAG), and was previously Director at Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited (TAMIN). In Aug 13, 2025, he joined SPEL Semiconductor Limited as an Additional Director. He is a Member of Stakeholders Relationship Committee of SPEL's Board.

Mr. P. Balamurugan, Head(Operations) & Whole Time Director

Mr. P. Balamurugan holds a degree in Engineering (Electronics & Communication) from the College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai and MS in Management Systems from BITS, Pilani. He has over 33 years of experience in the Semiconductor Industry. He started his career with SPEL as Equipment Engineer and later took in charge of Process Engineering.

He was instrumental in evolving the quality management systems in the company, improving the product quality through various statistical process control techniques, adopting energy conservation measures on a continuous basis and introducing various lean manufacturing concepts. As Head Operations, he�s Company In-charge at SPEL.
